The past 6 months has been fascinating from a whole marketing perspective, one candidate did not even try to understand the ideal customers, and the other tapped into a sentiment that always happens at the time of change.
The bottom line is that change is going to happen regardless of how the sales person attempts to influence the outcome and the best way to market is to feel the pulse of the customers, understand the conversations in their heads and enter it with a solution that heals their pains.
If you noticed, each candidate basically said what they thought the “ideal customer” wanted to hear and, frankly, they weren’t that far apart.
But it goes deeper. WINTER IS HERE and the winds of change are blowing. NOW is the time to market hard and really add value to your customers.
The cycles of peoples emotions and change are immutable and they follow the Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter cycles. Now we can either hunker down, curl up and hibernate or climb the peaks and snowboard. I’ve been planning for this time all my life.
